Hello! It’s been quite a while, I know. There are many reasons I have taken such a break from blogging, and I promise I’ll tell you guys why, but that will be a separate post. This is a long way from my 2017 post, haha. I’m really excited about 2019! I have a lot of plans – travel, blogging and health-wise!

2018 was a crazy year for me and seemed to fly by quicker than any other year of my life! So much happened and so much changed. When 2018 began, I was in the middle of my 8-month long travel journey.

We started the year in Hervey Bay, Australia and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I can’t say it was my favourite spot in Australia, but it was quite an interesting few days we had there. We met a lovely man who ran our Airbnb and saw some VERY scary looking spiders! (yikes)

On the very first day of 2018, we walked to a shop to get some groceries, only to have a storm come in while we were there. Unfortunately, in Hervey Bay, there is no Uber/Lyft and no sign of taxis ANYWHERE. So…. we had to walk back to our Airbnb in the worst lashing rain I’ve ever experienced! The water rushing down the street was over my ankles in some spots, we saw a dead bat and had no jackets on… it didn’t help that my top became completely see through… but let’s not go on about that point 😳😅

Now onto 2019, I’m back in Ireland but started the year in Rhode Island with a few drinks, my family and watching the ball drop (on TV of course). Much different but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love spending time with my family and friends more than anything else! 

I’ve been thinking a lot about all the things I want to accomplish, and also about the person I want to be! I’ve changed a lot over the last few years and have decided that 2019 is the year I want to focus on me, being the person I want to be. Some things are cosmetic (I plan to get braces again) and some are health and career goals. But it is all about self-development. 

Blog

I have a lot of new content planned for the blog! I swear I’m actually going to publish those 29 drafts (true story) and post about my travels! I want to share more reviews and more things about me with you all. I have new pages that will be going live and some new navigational options. I really do love the theme and think it is quite user-friendly, so I don’t plan on changing it again quite yet! 

Travel

In terms of travel, there are a few places I want to go, and a few places that I’m planning on going.

Ireland: 

You might be shocked to find out some of the places I haven’t been to in my home country. I’ve spent about 22 of my 25 years here – how have I missed all the beautiful things Ireland has to offer?!Puffin | Everything Obsessed

  • Dingle (booked ✓)
  • Cork City – yes I’m serious
  • Donegal – Serious again 😅
  • Skellig Michael – been dying to get here to see the Puffins and the landscape! 

I also plan on spending a lot of time in London this year! One of my best friends lives there and I want to see her more while we’re living so close to each other (this is close when you’re used to being halfway across the world from someone). It’s only a short plane ride away, it’s cheap to get to and there’s so much going on to take photos of! I truly have always loved London for as long as I can remember.

Health

If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know that I am planning to run the Dublin Marathon this year (yikes!). It takes place in October, so I’ve got time to prepare – and I sure need to prepare! 😳

This year I’m not really focused on ‘losing weight’ like other years. Realistically, I don’t need to lose much weight but rather, need to be all-around healthy – I need to concentrate on eating healthy and getting nutrients while getting enough exercise. Since I don’t eat meat or much dairy, I really need to pay attention to what I eat. I’ve been slacking for too long now and my body is paying for it.
